REUNION is not an event or even a building. We’re a community of imperfect people; some who feel a deep connection with God and some who don’t feel a connection at all yet. We are a community who gathers on Sundays to celebrate, pray, learn, and enjoy the conversation and friendship. Together we seek to explore what it means to follow Jesus Christ and help others do the same. We are a people who believe that no matter what we’ve done or where we’ve been, God’s grace is available through Jesus.

REUNION is one church, but we meet in two locations to make REUNION accessible to more people and to better engage the needs of the neighborhoods in which we are located. Sunday morning gatherings in our two locations feel very similar in culture and content.

Our name, REUNION, is taken from a story found in the fifteenth chapter of Luke. It reflects the moment when a lost son is embraced by his loving Father. We strive to be a church that deeply cares for people who are hurting, searching, isolated, or lost. We pray that our name will be a constant reminder of our mission of helping people find their way back to God.

REUNION is a non-denominational, independent, Christian church. While we are locally autonomous, we have networking relationships with other churches and organizations. Check out NewThing Network and Restoration House Ministries.

We believe there is one divine being who has existed eternally as three distinct but equal persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the maker of all things visible and invisible. The Bible reveals the story of God, Creation, the Fall, and God’s restoration of his creation. It is accurate, complete, and reliable for matters of faith and conduct in the church.

We believe that in the beginning of time, God created the heavens and the earth and everything in them. Throughout history, God has expressed God’s desire to have a personal, eternal relationship with creation.

We believe the first man and woman rebelled against God and vandalized the good, or shalom, of God’s created world. Every human being since that time has suffered the consequences of that rebellion: alienation from God, from others, from creation, and even from ourselves. This alienation from our Creator results in death. Furthermore, there is nothing we can do on our own to re-establish our relationship with him.

We believe that God has graciously provided the means to reconcile our broken lives and world in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the hero of the entire story. He is the eternal and divine Son of God who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life as we should have and died the death we deserved on the cross. He rose from the dead three days later to rescue us from sin and conquer death. After appearing to witnesses on a number of occasions, He ascended into heaven where He now serves as the mediator between God and humanity. Jesus will again return to earth to complete his eternal rescue plan. We believe this Good News of Jesus is available to everyone.

We believe God gives us a new life, an eternal life, when we turn from our sin and allow Christ to be our Savior and King. A life guided aligned with him prioritizes community, scripture, prayer, worship, service, and generosity.

We believe Jesus sends the church to carry out his mission of reconciling a lost world through Jesus. The Bible speaks of the church as Christ’s body where Jesus is the head. The church is commissioned to both care for those who are christian as well as meet the needs that exist in the community and world.

We believe the final chapter of God’s story is about the restoration of God’s creation. A new and better world is coming. Evil, death, and separation from God will be no more. We believe this is when heaven and earth will become one as God intended it.
