We believe there is one divine being who has existed eternally as three distinct but equal persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the maker of all things visible and invisible. The Bible reveals the story of God, Creation, the Fall, and God’s restoration of his creation. It is accurate, complete, and reliable for matters of faith and conduct in the church.

We believe that in the beginning of time, God created the heavens and the earth and everything in them. Throughout history, God has expressed God’s desire to have a personal, eternal relationship with creation.

We believe the first man and woman rebelled against God and vandalized the good, or shalom, of God’s created world. Every human being since that time has suffered the consequences of that rebellion: alienation from God, from others, from creation, and even from ourselves. This alienation from our Creator results in death. Furthermore, there is nothing we can do on our own to re-establish our relationship with him.

We believe that God has graciously provided the means to reconcile our broken lives and world in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the hero of the entire story. He is the eternal and divine Son of God who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life as we should have and died the death we deserved on the cross. He rose from the dead three days later to rescue us from sin and conquer death. After appearing to witnesses on a number of occasions, He ascended into heaven where He now serves as the mediator between God and humanity. Jesus will again return to earth to complete his eternal rescue plan. We believe this Good News of Jesus is available to everyone.

We believe God gives us a new life, an eternal life, when we turn from our sin and allow Christ to be our Savior and King. A life guided aligned with him prioritizes community, scripture, prayer, worship, service, and generosity.

We believe Jesus sends the church to carry out his mission of reconciling a lost world through Jesus. The Bible speaks of the church as Christ’s body where Jesus is the head. The church is commissioned to both care for those who are christian as well as meet the needs that exist in the community and world.

We believe the final chapter of God’s story is about the restoration of God’s creation. A new and better world is coming. Evil, death, and separation from God will be no more. We believe this is when heaven and earth will become one as God intended it.
