March 21 -23, 2025
Friday to Sunday
Toah Nipi Retreat Center
Rindge, NH
We hope you will join us for our annual REUNION Church-wide retreat that is happening on March 21st-23rd, 2025. We will stay for 3-days-2-nights at the Toah Nipi Retreat Center in New Hampshire!
Retreats are a great opportunity to step back and get away from the city to reflect and connect with God and other people. Whether you have been going to church for years or you are just curious about faith, we hope you will join us!
Chris is a pastor at Northwest Church in Lynnwood, Washington. Their church also owns and operates the Community Life Center, a space designed to partner with organizations that bring healing and restoration to their city. Chris lives with his wife, Kim, and has two children, Ashley and Josh, and two grandchildren. When he is not facetiming his grandkids, you can likely find him playing golf, watching a Seahawks game, or reading his favorite Tom Clancy novel.
We live in a world that is desperate for hope. We all want to hope, but what do we put our hope in? Throughout scripture, we read about the idea of hope, but what is it really? Why does it matter for our world today? And what can it mean for our lives right now? Join us as we explore these questions and open ourselves up to the hope God might be offering us right now.

A typical day at our retreat starts with morning prayers or devotionals, followed by breakfast together.
The day may include group Bible study sessions, outdoor activities like hiking or sports, and service projects.
Evenings often feature campfires for fellowship, worship sessions, and reflections on the day's experiences.
There are a lot of great reasons for why you should go on a retreat! They can include:
- You want to escape the city and connect with God and people somewhere beautiful.
- You are nearing, in, or completing a transition in your life and want to step back to reflect on what it all means and where God is in it.
- You want to meet new friends.
- You are unsatisfied with your relationship with God and/or want to make a change and engage in a deeper way.
- You are curious about questions of faith and spirituality and want to learn how other people engage in these questions.
The cost will include all of the accommodations for two nights and food for four meals (3 meals Saturday and 1 meal on Sunday). We'll also be providing snacks throughout the day!
You will be staying in family-style bedrooms, each with a private bath.
The retreat will have programming consisting of three speaker sessions from our guest speaker that will include worship, group discussion, and icebreakers to help us get to know each other better.
If you have a child, we will provide child care during these speaker sessions so you can be present and engage with the rest of the community.
You'll get to enjoy all of the amenities and activities of the retreat center including kayaking at the pond, hiking, or playing basketball.
Lastly, everyone at the retreat will get a t-shirt!
Our church believes strongly that every person should be able to attend our retreat no matter their financial situation. We have tried to keep the costs as low as possible. In fact, REUNION is helping to eat some of the costs per attendee so that more people will join.
However, we know that the cost could still be a barrier for some people to attend. If you want to go on the retreat and the cost is preventing you from doing so, please reach to Nathan.
We do have generous people in the community who are willing to sponsor to help offset costs for those who need it.
We will have some structured programming each day. The speaker sessions will include worship and a message from our guest speaker. We'll also have times to connect in group discussion and we will have a dedicated time you can spend enjoying nature and reflecting Saturday morning.
Around those structured times is free time and you can spend it any way you like! The retreat center has a 30-acre spring-fed pond where you can go canoeing, kayaking, and even swimming! You can play volleyball or basketball on their courts. You can go hiking at Mount Watatic, just minutes away! At night, you can hang out at the fire pit and we'll roast some marshmallows and make s'mores. For indoor activities, we'll bring some board games and you can play foosball or ping pong.
Retreats are great for kids! Each family will have their own room with their own bathroom so you can feel comfortable with bed times and your own privacy. Our accommodations and where we gather as a large group will be in the same building for your convenience!
We will have dedicated volunteers who will do activities with kids during the speaker sessions, reflection time, and discussion groups. All other times you will need to be responsible for your kids.
There are plenty of activities that your family will enjoy at the retreat site!
We will all be staying at the three-level Bethel lodge, featuring 10 family-style bedrooms, each with a private bath. Every family with kids will have their own room. The other rooms will consist of 4-5 people per room. Each room has two twin beds and two bunk beds. You can see pictures in the above FAQ.
We will try to assign families to a separate floor so that it is easy to check on them and put them down to sleep. Our main gathering space will be in the same building.
If you’re open to engaging questions of meaning, purpose, faith, and spirituality, and you’re curious about how other people approach those questions, then a retreat will be a good fit for you. That matters much more than what faith tradition (if any) you come from, how often you go or don’t go to church, and how strong or struggling you feel in your spirituality.
Situated in the Monadnock Region of Southern New Hampshire, the retreat center is 50 miles from the city of Boston, Massachusetts.
Typically, it will take about a 1.5 hour drive from Boston.
If you need a ride and don't have a car, we can set you up with someone!
