The challenges of the past years have taken their toll on churches around the world, and Reunion is no different as we've had to adapt to leadership changes, new formats, and new rhythms of life. Despite these challenges, Reunion has continued to be a community dedicated to each other and its mission of helping people find their way back to God!
These challenges, however, have also required us to rethink some of the patterns and approaches that served us well in the past. As we venture into a “new normal,” we must embrace systems and structures that meet the needs of our time and help us to better realize our vision of the entire Boston area to experience the transformative love of Jesus.
With this in mind, the pastoral staff and elders of Reunion have discerned that we would be better able to pursue our mission and vision as a two-location church.
Beginning on January 30th, our Quincy and South End locations will merge to become Reunion Metro. At the same time, our Somerville location will be renamed Reunion North. These new names better reflect our desire for increased impact and the many connections which we already have with the surrounding areas. This reorganization also means that we will be better situated to pursue our mission. With reduced facility requirements and costs, we can invest more of our time and resources on what matters most: people and discipleship.
If you have questions, concerns, or ideas about where Reunion is headed, reach out to a member of the pastoral staff or elder team to talk in more detail.
These are tough times that require tough decisions, but God had brought us together for such a time as this. Reunion has proven it is a community where God can do amazing things, we can't wait to see what God has in store next.
